7 Tips to Glowing Wedding Skin

 1. Everyday-routine:
If you really want to to the best for your skin, you’ll need to start a skincare routine about a year before. It’s no problem if you just don’t have that long before your wedding day – just adopt these skincare habits as soon as possible and you’re good to go.

 2. Eat More Watermelon:
No matter what your skin type is (oily, dry, normal or combo) it craves water. Drinking water helps (also try with a slice of lemon in it), but snacking on watermelon works too and whats better now we’re in the summer season. Other super foods for your face such as: grapefruit, broccoli and lettuce are also good.

 3. Deep Clean With a Mask:
A mask will not replace your daily skin care routine; it’s only to enhance it. Since the mask stays on longer, it will help melt the hard sebum (or oily substance) in your pores, something washing alone won’t do.” If your skin is oily, use a mask every other day. If you have dry skin, once or twice per month should keep oil and dirt from building up.

 4. “Shrink” Your Pores With Microdermabrasion:
You can’t actually change the size of your pores. “The deeper a pore is, the bigger it looks on the skin’s surface”. BUT… you can minimize the depth of your pores to make them look smaller. Use Microdermabrasion, glycolic acid and other chemical peels that exfoliate the layers of bad skin and minimize pore surface.

 5. Use Salt Scrubs to Soften Elbows:
This is something brides often forget about. Add a bath to your weekly routine and add bath salts with sodium bicarbonate. The sodium bicarbonate will break down dry patches and make your skin a sponge for moisture.

 6. Use Skin-Specific Moisturizer:
-OILY SKIN: You don’t need to add more moisture, but you need to hydrate. Look for ingredients like hyaluronic acid or ferulic acid, both will help your skin maintain water.
-DRY SKIN: Stick with the hyaluronic acid or ferulic acid, but don’t worry about finding an oil-free formula. Your skin craves moisture.
-BREAKOUT SKIN: Choose a moisturizer that’s noncomedogenic. It should say so on the bottle.
-SENSITIVE SKIN: Your go-to is a fragrance-free product.

7: Control Oily Skin With Blotting Sheets:
If you’re on the go, blotting papers will help keep your face shine-free. If you need a more advanced solution: use a mild face wash, skip the toner and add a lightweight oil-free moisturizer. Excessive face washing will kick oil production into overdrive.

Planning your wedding.

Before reading this post make sure that you have read this one (Just engaged?).

You have been for a while getting inspiration from the biggest blogs and websites, you know your priorities and you have created a budget. Well, what’s next?

We recommend to use an estimated timeline of 12 months for the planning. This will help you through the whole amazing process. Take good note on your wedding notebook!

1 year to 9 months before the wedding:

• Make a preliminary guest list and adjust it to your budget.

• Organize the engagement party.

• Hire a Wedding Planner. Meet her and her team in person and let her help you to smooth the wedding planner process.

• Choose the location and the date. Visit personally the venues you selected, choose your favorite and reserve it. Do it according to your budget and the guests you have on your list. This is pretty important. Depending on the season of the year and the reputation of the venue, they can take reservation up to one year in advance! Make sure you get the day you want by reserving early. Leave the menu open so you can try it later on.

• Reserve the date you wish to get married if you are getting married in a church. In Sweden, if you desire to get married in the same venue, a vigselförrättare can go there and officiate the ceremony. Your Wedding planner will give you more information about this.

9 to 6 months before the wedding:

planning 9-6• Create a website for the wedding with all the details your guests will need.

• Meet the vendors. Photographer, cake, flowers, music, stationery, hair and makeup artists and all the other services you wish to include. Keep their contacts in a file. Note that vendors will demand a certain amount in advance to be able to book their services so you might want to write checks or prepare cash.

8.Children at the wedding

Children can bring some magical and unforgettable moments to the wedding ceremony, but on the another side it can turn to a running and messing around. If you are having a lot of children at your wedding, it is good to keep them entertained. In that case, you may consider hiring qualified nannies and set up activity corner in a separate room if possible. If your budget doesn’t allow it, you can ask the venue if there is extra room or separate area which parents can use if their children need some time away from the other guests or they need changing.

Be carful while choosing the food you would like to serve the youngest one. Most of the kids will eat mainly funny food such as mini pizzas, hot-dogs and french fries, so it would be good if you can spare some money aside for their little treat.

9.Memorable Dessert

Make an impression with a spectacular dessert or cake! If you are not wedding cake kind of couple don’t feel obligate to have one at your wedding. Be creative and find your own alternative! We are suggesting cupcakes served in tower form, Candy Bar or Cookie Buffet.

10. Alcohol free drinks

Don’t forget alcohol free drinks at your wedding! Soda or mineral water is a good start but think outside of the box and offer your guests a special summer drink such as home made lemonade, fruit slushies and smoothies.
